Temporary Replacements In Line for RCB vs KKR – IPL 2025

After the break over a week, IPL resumes 17th May, BCCI has announced the new replacements rules for the remaining IPL 2025 season. Unavailability of the foreign players in the remaining IPL matches is the big problem.

In previous rule of IPL, all the team were allowed to sign the players till the 12th match, but due to the in-between break in IPL, BCCI has changed the rule and as per the new changed rule all the teams have got permission to sign the new players for the remaining matches of this IPL 2025 season and teams will not be allowed to be retained these players for the next IPL season. That is, if a player is signed by a team now, he will be released before the next season.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB)

Unavailable Players:

  • Lungi Ngidi: Due to the preparation of World Test Championship final with South Africa, he will miss the playoffs matches
  • Jacob Bethell: Not available for the playoffs due to national commitments with England.
  • Devdutt Padikkal: Due to a right hamstring injury, he also miss the remaining matches of this season.

Replacements Players:

  • Mayank Agarwal: He is the replacement of injured Devdutt Padikkal.
  • There is no surety about the replacements for Jacob Bethell and Lungi Ngidi yet.

Note : As per some multiple sources, the Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood availability for the playoffs is not confirmed yet. As he is recover from the shoulder niggle.

  • Rovman Powell: Not available for the remaining matches due to some injuries.

  • Anukul Roy: Moeen Ali could be replaced by the left-arm spinner Anukul Roy.

KKR has not announced replacements for Rovman Powell yet. But there is major chance that Manish Pandey the Bengaluru boy has been placed in the team.
